Furlough Memories

We’re now settling back into our life here in Cambodia, but our time in the US is still fresh in our minds…some days, a little too fresh, and we miss everyone acutely. Revisiting these pictorial memories is a reminder of how truly BLESSED we were during our furlough, and how blessed we are now, by so many of you who love and support us. It is a humbling, grateful existence, to be sure! Thank you for each of your gifts to us–delicious meals at your homes and restaurants, free accommodations, monetary donations, “Christmas in July”, sweet presents for our babies, thoughtful gift cards, birthday blessings, anniversary expenses–and we can’t forget our deluxe mattress that we carried with us on the airplane! We’re also grateful for the several items that were loaned to us during our time in States–baby/kid stuff, car, cabin etc.–you all made our lives so much easier! I have the grandest intentions of writing each of you a personal note, but until it actually reaches you, I wanted to assure you that no gift went unnoticed, no kindness went unobserved. So, thank you, dear friends and family. Thank you for everything!

Here’s a photo summary of our visit to America. I’ve excluded some of the larger events, which I’ll highlight in separate posts. I apologize that the pictures aren’t necessarily in order, and that they are missing captions–that task was too daunting for me to attempt (262 pictures!). Please click the photos for the larger view (and for printing purposes).
