Two weeks after arriving in Cambodia, and eight weeks after Paton’s birth, we waved goodbye to my mom at the airport…And then, “REAL” life began…life with two babies…life without my mom’s constant comforting and helpful presence…life that meant I had to figure out what to do with one kid, while I climbed the stairs to get the other kid, and other such seemingly simple tasks. I was petrified for the first few moments, but then I took comfort in the fact that millions, if not billions of moms had taken care of a newborn AND a toddler…AT THE SAME TIME. With God’s help…I COULD DO IT! I laugh now at my fears, but those feelings of sheer terror were very real at that moment.
So, here’s our life in November, P.M (post Mom). We survived!
High heels, baby dolls, alphabet magnets and under-the-stairs play room
“A” is for “Ava”
We had a wonderful visit with Pastor Chhinho and his family–lovely wife, Samphoa and children–Selena, Jamine and little Sonita. Ava loved playing with the kids.
Ava’s Antics…coloring herself and then trying to get a piece of tissue paper
The Three Little Pigs…and their large, extended family
And we’ll end on a happy note! (Ava’s first pigtails…and not at all related to the pictures above…)

That pig picture is hilarious and so disturbing at the same time.
You can do two kids! When the boys were little I just set very tiny goals each day and made sure I attained them. “Today I will fold the laundry!” “Today I will be dressed in time for dinner!” That way if you actually achieve more than that, you feel great, rather than planning too much and being disappointed.
The pig pictures are just hilarious particularly Ava’s pig tails following!
Enjoyed every one. Thanks for posting. We love and miss you all.
