Most of February, we were blessed with family visitors from the U.S. (see post). In March, we enjoyed some fun events–Jessica’s surprise baby shower (Baby Joshua), as well as a St. Patrick’s Day party at playgroup, made especially significant since the hostess is married to an Irishman (though apparently, most of the Irish don’t even celebrate the day, ha ha). We also had some sad goodbyes–Upu and her family, who are friends from playgroup, and the Mayer family, who came out from our home church in CA, to live in Cambodia for 8 months. Goodbyes are a constant, natural part of life here, and though we are always grieved to see people leave, we are so very, very grateful for the time lived with them!
